Hey, thanks for popping over!

You want to know why your diets have failed in the past right?

Well here are the main reasons!

Why Your Diets Fail Miserably

If you’re reading this, the chances are you are desperate to lose those annoying pounds that won’t shift.

I know. It p*sses you off because you try so hard.

Unfortunately, life doesn’t always reward hard work. It rewards smart people.

You think you’ve tried everything.

Well you haven’t – that’s the good news

The bad news is that the more diets you’ve tried and failed at, the harder it gets to stick to something long enough to see the results.

Mentally you set yourself up to fail before you even start, based on the experiences of past diets.

Now I’m not one for beating around the bush which was why I created the 21 Day Turbo Transformation program. It tells you what to do and when to do it without all the fluffy if’s and but’s which usually come with diets and training programs.

Which would explain why the results are ridiculous!

Seriously. Sean did 17.6lbs in the first 14 days. Some people can’t do that in 14 MONTHS on the world renowned diet plans.

So what’s going on and why are your dieting attempts always going wrong after some initial success?

7 Reasons Your Diet Won’t Work

Choice

Modern life has provided us with every choice we could ever possibly want.

Everything around you is oozing opportunity to get whatever you’ve always wanted.

It’s not complicated to make money, get fit or anything else.

Yet more people are miserable, stressed, depressed and importantly for us here, fat.

The internet provides access to EVERY piece of information you need to have a fantastic body, get rich and even make friends!

So why do you NEVER get anywhere?

The reason you never see noticeable results is that you have TOO MUCH choice!

Most people collect information on 3 great diets they’ve heard about.

They’re all great apparently and all have anecdotes telling of great success.

“Hmmmm……” you think.

“What if you mixed them all together in a big cauldron…surely that will make the best diet EVER.”

Needless to say it falls flat.

You had too much choice between all the high carb, low carb, no fat, Atkins, 40:30:30 protein:carb:fat ratios, coloured veggie days, high protein, vegetarian, vegan wonders of the world. And how about sticking to just cabbage or eating only 400 calories per day for 3 weeks.

That’s about what a horny hamster needs to get an erection.

And now you’ve created one big mess that doesn’t work.

The truth is there are plenty of ways to skin the proverbial cat – there is no ‘best’ way.

Trying to combine all of these methods however is VERY unlikely to work.

You might get away with it at first simply because any change to your sedentary, carb guzzling lifestyle will bring changes for the first few weeks.

When you go to a restaurant, you suddenly don’t know whether to go for the cheese-laden vegetarian dish since is Veggie Tuesday in Diet Plan 1, have protein and fat only because Dr Atkin’s said you should eat lots of meat and cheese for 2 weeks on Diet Plan 2, or only have a salad because Diet Plan 3 won’t let you go over 124.5 calories because you just walked up a flight of stairs and can now maximize the fat burning zone.

I’m surprised you know which leg to put on the floor first when you get out of bed for fear of slipping into the wrong heart rate zone before breakfast.

So what should you do?

Find out about a plan proven to work on real people – if you know those people it’s even better.

Get hold of that plan.

Start. Seriously that’s one of the most-underrated words!

Do what it says. If you know it works but maybe don’t understand why, just do it. Why? Because the coach said so. Get rid of the stress of thinking!

Keep going until you hit your goal.

Don’t know your goal? Read the next part….

There’s No End In Sight

In our Guernsey Fitness Camp sessions (and in my own training sessions on occasion if I’m honest!) we often see people who say they ‘can’t do any more’ half way through.

As soon as they are within 2-3 minutes of finishing, they’re able to concentrate, kick in again and do what they have to do – they CAN do more.

The reason is that suddenly the end is in sight and they know they can push to the end. They could have done this a little earlier.

It’s human nature.

When the finish line is in sight, it is much easier to sprint and put in 100% effort instead of keeping some in the tank.

The same is seen with dieting.

Either no deadline is created or it is far too far away.

The thought of sticking to a plan for 6 months is enough to cause you to stop before you start.

Consequently you end up doing it half-arsed for months on end and after all that time you may be 4-5lbs lighter if you’re lucky.

(Honestly…what return do most people get on 12 months gym membership?)

Then all of a sudden that wedding, party, photo shoot or holiday suddenly looms large 3 weeks later and you panic because it’s too late to get the body you promised yourself.

No clear, visible finish line = No amazing results

Now you may have goals which will take 6-12 months which is great, but you can still break the bigger goal into ‘mini wins’ as above.

Decide on the end goal.

Reverse engineer it into smaller, more manageable steps which give you ‘quick wins’.

Commit EVERYTHING at the start. Seeing results fast will motivate you to keep going whereas putting effort in for no reward will lead you to blame the plan and quit!

No Accountability

You may have been to weekly meetings to get weighed.

You may or mey not have lost weight or you may have put on 1-2lbs.

“It’s okay, better luck next week, Sally.”

What use is this in pushing you towards your results?

At least it’s a start in keeping you accountable though. Most people keep their attempts to lose weight a closely guarded secret with no-one to check on them.

Why?

Because deep-down they know they are going to fail again and don’t want to be embarrassed at getting nowhere.

As a result that’s exactly what happens!

Without a trainer or even group of like-minded friends to keep you motivated to keep pushing for better results, it’s VERY hard to get through those days when life kicks you in the groin and you want a chocolate bar to make up for it!

Find a group of people challenging themselves in the same way you are. Talk to them, interact with them.

Listen to no-one but your coach and fellow ‘team members’.

Ignore anyone who does not look the way you want to look. They don’t have answers just excuses and fears about not doing it themselves.

More Stress

My experience with personal training clients in Guernsey and the UK and with online coaching clients around the world has made me realize that a lot of diets fail because they are so damn stressful!

-       What do I eat?

-       When do I eat it?

-       Which vegetable?

-       How many carbs?

-       Is this portion 2.4cm too big?

-       What do I cook?

-       What if I go out?

-       What’s the least calorific alcoholic drink?

-       I don’t have time!!!

-       What should I do in the gym?

There are so many questions going around your head it’s no wonder you end up packing it in!

Most diets give you information overload.

I used to do this if I’m honest! I wanted to give everyone EVERYTHING I knew.

And it worked, but only if people had time to read and ‘digest’ everything.

But now I realize you just want to be GUARANTEED a result and told what to do.

Want the theory? Fine – I can tell you.

But if you just want to be told exactly what to do, picking up diet books and wading through everything including the 1001 recipes is just a pain in the arse and doesn’t deliver mind-blowing results.

80% of stuff in diet books could be chopped down to 2-3 pages.

But that wouldn’t look very enticing on the shelf on the bookshop would it?!

The problem is that the added stress of the diet throws your hormones out of line even further.

You might be able to force yourself to work through it for a couple of weeks or more if you’re REALLY determined, but eventually when the results are barely visible and the ‘stress cravings’ get so bad, you cave and binge, ending up at Square 1 or even fatter than you were to start with.

Not very productive is it?

Find a plan that gives you what you need so you can just ‘plug and play’.

Insert the actions into your lifestyle and get on with it!

Free of stress, full of results!

Hormonal Issues

Any nutrition plan that is going to work for more than the initial ‘shock’ period needs to address hormones.

Now this doesn’t necessarily require an arsenal of hormone tests at your GP surgery.

Simply making decisions which reduce the stress you are inflicting on your body from poor food and drink choices and external factors can do wonders in a matter of days!

Most diets involve:

-       Too much cheating and treats which, whilst ‘helping’ you mentally for 30 minutes, throw your insulin levels way off track, preventing efficient use of energy and fat burning and masking underlying fatigue and hormone imbalance.

-       Too much snacking as a way to keep you on track. This results in more regular release of insulin which is a storage hormone. We’re not trying to store more of anything (except lean muscle but that’s another story).

-       Too much stress and calculating and counting things! This can play havoc with the stress hormone cortisol which is already elevated in most people because of modern lifestyles. Since cortisol is known to increase fat storage, it’s not going to help your aspirations to get a great body!

-       Too many carbs because ‘they’re wholegrain’. Carbohydrates have been shown to increase the hormone serotonin which helps control moods and relaxes the brain. This might sound good, but in reality it saps your energy levels and can make you feel like your permanently dozing – not what you want when you want to be enjoying and getting the most out of your exercise.

-       Calorie restriction for too long. When we eat sufficient food, our bodies release a hormone called leptin which says “We’re full” and turns your appetite down, controlling hunger. Restricting calories for too long reduces the production of leptin often leading to uncontrollable and permanent hunger pangs – you can only fight these for so long.

The body will also down-regulate your metabolic rate as a survival mechanism. (We have cool tricks to prevent this whilst still losing body fat in the Turbo Transformation program!)

*Losing body fat should not be about deprivation! In fact Sarah B who was a guinea pig for the first Turbo Transformation challenge reported struggling to eat enough at first!*

Hormones are a massive subject but these are some of the key ones affected by silly dieting and deprivation!

It is critical to get these hormones in line if you want to see incredible results – there is no way around it!

No Attention Paid To Food Timing

You can get good results just by eating clean food at first – this should always be your first port of call.

However, if you want really amazing results which impress everyone around you, there are some really important things to do with regards to WHEN you eat specific types of food and tying them in with certain methods of training.

For instance, hard cardio sessions will drain sugar from your muscles but not have much effect on building the lean muscle which is so important for a great figure!

Who wants to look skinny and gaunt?!

Weight training (which is essential for fat loss) isn’t so energy intensive at the time but will increase fat burning after the session and post-workout meals can be easily made to make sure you maximize that fat burning!

What you eat around sessions can therefore make the difference between losing a couple of pounds or losing lots of inches and fast!

For instance, a lot of diets advocate eating carbohydrates because ‘they’re wholegrain’ which is good for you.

The truth is that whilst carbohydrates play their part, the timing is crucial!

See your body doesn’t want to burn body fat. How annoying is that?

It’s a survival thing dating back to when food wasn’t readily available in the fridge!

As carbs are easy to burn for fuel, the body will preferentially burn the carbs leaving body fat where it is – this is even more likely the more crazy diets you have been on!

But you don’t want to have to think about it do you?

That’s why in the Turbo Transformation program, we tell you exactly what to eat and when so you can just get on with it!

So you’ll master the timings without having to figure it out!

No Attempt To Improve Health

You don’t see fat healthy people.

It should be pretty obvious that all nutrition plans or ‘diets’ should look to improve your health AND help you lose body fat at the same time. There is no reason not to.

So if your diet doesn’t make you feel MUCH more energetic within 7 days (you can have a dip at first) you’re on the wrong train track!

A lot of diets quite simply get you to eat less.

This eventually leads to stagnant results or at best, you lose body fat but feel awful because your health is still in bits!

If your nutrition plan is not teaching you how to get maximum nutrients, restore healthy digestion and optimize your energy for daily life and exercise, again, you need to get on a different train!

There is no need to deprive yourself and feel awful physically and mentally in order to get a great body!

What Now?

You’re probably wondering what you’ve been wasting your time and money on now with all these diets and training programs.

Honestly, look back at what you’ve achieved in the last 3 years.

Does it justify the financial and time investments?

I don’t want you to feel bad about it – it’s not your fault you’ve been misled by magazines and giant corporations.

It is up to you to do something about it and make the changes that count – don’t keep banging your head on the same brick wall!

When we release the online 21 Day Turbo Transformation program at the start of January, we eliminate ALL of these issues for you with a ‘done for you’ interactive program where you don’t have to think about what’s going on.

(Yes 3 weeks not 3 years!)

You just follow the daily action steps and watch the inches fall away.

It really is that simple!

Why Does The Turbo Transformation Work So Well?

The 21 Day TT works fast.

Don’t take my word for it – I’ll show you the transformation photos and results from the Turbo Triallists in the next couple of weeks.

They just did what they were told and lost lots of fat whilst getting boat loads of energy in just 21 days.

It brings together all the information I’ve gathered over the last 10 years on fat stripping and getting ‘quick wins’ in the gym.

It could have been a HUGE book, but the key to its power was stripping it down to just a ‘need to know’ plug-and-play program.

Here’s why it works so well and so fast:

-       It tells you exactly what to do and when in about 150 words per day

-       There’s no if’s and but’s around exercise – you just follow the plan

-       It immediately gets to work on your health and restoring vitality

-       It takes the stress out of dieting and doesn’t deprive you of calories on a regular basis

-       It tricks your body into burning fat whilst still giving you loads of energy to do the things you enjoy doing!

-       It boosts your metabolic rate through eating the right things at the right time and doing the right training

-       It doesn’t require selling your soul to 2 hours of cardio on a treadmill in a dingy gym every day

-       It’s delivered online each day so you get constant advice, feedback and support

-       It helps you restore hormone balance through easy lifestyle choices

-       You get personal coaching from me EVERYDAY if you like (that would normally cost you a small fortune)

Before we launch though I’m going to show you how you can make healthy eating INCREDIBLY simple with a video in the coming days but you need to be friends with me….

(How desperate does that sound….?!)

So stay tuned and if you haven’t already, make friends with me on Facebook right now – I’ll be giving a free video explaining exactly what to do to all my FB friends on Wednesday 21st December so you can use it in January.
